Chelsea Flower Show 2011
JDC To Build Chelsea Show Garden
We are absolutely delighetd to announce that this year we will be building our very first show garden at Cheslsea!.
Chelsea Flower Show is probably the best known event in the gardening calender and this year, for the very 1st time, we will be building a small show garden in the 'Artisan' category. JDC were asked to build the garden by Chelsea Gold Medal winning designer, Stephen Hall, after successfully completing various landscaping projects for clients, as designed by Stephen. The garden is sponsored by UK drinks companyFever-Tree, who produce a range of natural premium 'mixers' including tonic waters and ginger ale.
The 'Artisan' garden is entitled 'Fever-Tree's" Tree House Garden - and as you would expect features a childrens tree house supported on branches of 'cinchona' wood sourced from the Congo. Cinchona contains quinine which is used by Fever-Tree to make their tonic waters. Many of the plants and materials used within the garden relate to the ingredients used by Fever-Tree to make their range of drinks.
It will be an exciting project for JDC Gardens and the pressure will be on to make sure the garden is built in time and to the highest possible standard. We have lots of advance preparations to make, so check back soon for an update on how things are progressing...
