Chelsea Flower Show Winners
JDC build 'Artisan' Show Garden at Chelsea for Fever Tree UK and were awarded a Silver medal.
Building at the prestigeous Chelsea Flower Show for the first time - JDC Gardens Ltd built the 'Tree House' garden in the artisan category for London based drinks company Fever-Tree. The garden had to be constructed within a strict timescale in readiness for the opening day of the show and was finished ahead of schedule. The garden designed by Stephen Hall Design Ltd featured a childrens tree-house, a natural spring, native hedging, reclaimed paving, rustic fencing and was planted with a selection of both herbal and medicinal plants which included many of the ingredients used by Fever Tree in their drinks range, such as lemons, gingers and rosemary. Some peices of timber from the Cinchona tree, from which quinine is obtained, were even shipped over specially from a plantation in the Congo and used to construct parts of the tree house!
The garden was judged by the panel of RHS judges and awarded a Silver medal. We were delighted to win a Silver medal with our very first show garden build at the Chelsea Flower Show and we hope to build many more show gardens in the future - it has been a fantastic experience and we have our sights set firmly on winning a Gold medal next time round. If you would like a show garden building at one of the RHS flower shows please contact us on 01536 510883 to discuss your project.
