JDC Gardens Ltd to build Chelsea Flower Show Garden 2011.
By James Checkley

We are delighted to announce, that for the very first time - JDC Gardens will be building a show garden at the prestigious Chelsea Flower Show this year. JDC Gardens are a small Kettering based landscaping business run by James Checkley, specialising in Garden Design and high quality, professional landscaping. We were asked to build a small show garden in the ‘Artisan’ category by Chelsea Gold Medal winning Garden Designer, Stephen Hall.

JDC Gardens have recently completed several landscaping projects for private clients as designed by Stephen - he was so impressed with the quality of work and attention to detail that he asked JDC Gardens to build his garden at Chelsea this year. The garden named ‘The Fever-Tree House Garden’ has been designed by Stephen on behalf of UK drinks company Fever-Tree, producers of Premium Natural ‘Mixers’ including tonic waters, ginger ale and ginger beer.  The garden will be inspired by the natural and exotic ingredients used by Fever-Tree in their range of drinks. It will feature a real Tree House made partly from reclaimed ‘cinchona’ wood from the Congo, a natural spring, native hedging, natural planting and a selection of reclaimed materials – to create a relaxing space in which to unwind and get away from it all.

This will be an exciting, high profile project for JDC Gardens and we will be competing against the very best Designers and Landscapers throughout the country to win a coveted Chelsea Gold Medal. ‘We’re looking forward to building the garden and are delighted Stephen has asked us to build it – not only that but we can enjoy the perfect ‘Gin and Tonic’ afterwards courtesy of Fever-Tree!’

If you have a project that you would like potential ‘Gold Medal Winning’ Landscapers, JDC Gardens, to look at please contact James Checkley for a informal discussion or to arrange a consultation.
